I recently bought a 2014 ES 350 with the navigation package (25K miles, pristine condition) and everything’s great except Bluetooth. Neither my iPhone 14 pro nor any other iPhone can find let alone attempt to pair with the 350’s BT. I even dusted off my iPhone 5, with the same result, so it’s not an issue with the newer BT technology on latest iPhone. Moreover my 14 pro flawlessly connected with the BT on the 2011 350 I traded in so this is a real head scratcher. Any recommendations before I buy a BT adapter? Thanks!!!
May seem like a dumb question but…did you start by “registering” a phone into the system following the instructions in the manual? A lot of used cars typically don’t come with the manuals still in them. If not, this is a screenshot from the manual: (if you did follow the procedure then apologies and please disregard the rest of this post).
I have both my iPhone 14 and iPad Air 5 “registered” with no issues.

Go to the Connect Bluetooth screen shown in post #2 and check the fields. While it is OK
(fun even!) to change the Device Name and possible to change the Password field be certain
that the Device Address is present. If no Device Address then go into settings and select
Default Settings and reset everything to restore that specific Alphanumeric sequence.
Thanks for the responses. I tried all of the above w/o success. I either get a "the bluetooth device is not supported and could not be registered" message or a blank "Connect Bluetooth" screen. I went into bluetooth settings and restored the default settings (i.e., Car Media with passcode of 0000) but for some reason they vanish, even after I've saved the default settings multiple times. I've also tried resetting the Enform system but that doesn't work either.
OK, I think I've figured out the problem--BT power is off and the field is greyed out so I can't turn it back on. I reset the system a couple of times by holding the volume button down, but that doesn't work, either. I found a similar thread in the LS forums and it appears the stereo head unit would need to be replaced--which isn't happening on my 2014 ES. So the quick fix is a $25 BT adapter and possibly in the future, an aftermarket module with CarPlay.
