Wheel Upgrade/ Modifications

Have a black 2014 ES350 with the base model 17" alloy 215/40/17 wheels and tires. Looking to swap with a newer gen 18" or 19" camry/es350 black rim. Do the centre caps swap out from toyota to lexus rims? I believe the oem bolt pattern is 5/114.5 so the center diameter would be the same? Anyone have any success swapping for bigger oem rims and tires? Or do I need to modify suspension components to fit.. thanks 🤘

Not sure about the same size of the centre caps but I picked up a set of Lexus caps off Amazon and applied them to a set of aftermarket wheels I had purchased for my seasonal rims. If they are a tiny bit loose, a dab of silicon will hold the caps tight.

You can check rim/tire sizes using the "Tire Rim Calculator" you'll find under "Tools" in the black bar at the top of the page OR this one: https://www.wheel-size.com/calc/?whe...cl=50mm&sr=0mm. Just be aware that going to a larger diameter rim will necessitate a change in tire size and inevitably result in a harsher ride due to less sidewall cushioning.

Going with another Camry/ES350/Avalon wheel should bolt up just fine. inner bore diameter should be the same as well. It's when you go with aftermarket wheels that you'll have to pay more attention. Just going by the 5/114.5 bolt pattern isn't enough, there's the wheel offset to be aware of (35-45mm on our cars is the approximate range), and center bore diameter is important (too small = NG, too large you'll need a fitted center ring). One benefit to aftermarket wheels is that you can get them in about any dimension and flavor you want these days, so if having a slightly wider stance is important to you to get the outside of the wheels flush with the fenders for the "clean" look, then going with a less offset wheel (35mm or slightly smaller) will accomplish that. Regardless of whether you go with OEM or aftermarket wheels, just keep in mind that when you graduate from 17" to 18" wheels, or 18" to 19," etc., the smoothness of your ride will decrease. One thing to keep in mind as well is that with 19" tires <on average> are stupid expensive compared to their 18" or 20" counterparts, there is niche pricing for that particular 19" size. Also if you have a lot of potholes or junk roadways in general where you live, driving on 19" wheels may prove costly. Personally I found that going from 17" to 18" on my ES350 was the right overall compromise for me; ymmv. As far as center caps, I'm certain most of them would be interchangeable between OEM's for the cars discussed, however you may want to double-check just in case there is one oddball wheel on one particular year of a Camry that is a different size for whatever reason.

i went with the 19” black TRD wheels from the camry/avalon fit great, the center cap i found a lexus one with the same diameter wrapped them matte black to match the wheel and it set down in the wheel just a tad not as flush as i would like but no one notices it’s slightly off.
