I use a set of programmable Autel sensors on my second set of wheels without any problems (the tire dealer “read” the oem codes and programmed the same ids into the Autels); but different people on here have reported grief getting anything but oem to work. The key is to get a set that can be matched to the id codes of your existing oems or you will need to get the dealer to reprogram the car’s computor every time you switch wheels. The ES can only handle one set of codes unlike some other models that will take two sets of codes. At seasonal change I just mount the second set of wheels, make sure the pressures are right, hit the reset button under the dash and that’s it. As I warned, others haven’t been as lucky (or didn’t get a knowledgeable tire technition to do the supply/install).

My tire dealer had the hand-held unit that pings the oems and then writes that id to the Autels. There is also the Carista OBD2 app and dongle that will read the oem codes…they have a utube video on using it on a Toyota product. I have that unit but only used it to confirm the id codes.

I have the Autels on my summer, aftermarket rims for two summers now with no issues.
