Please check your rear seat
The Lexus Enform app just started telling me this during a remote lock.
ANy idea what that means for the rear seat? https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.clu...57a8cf6eca.jpg |
Usually this is a reminder to check for a child being left behind in a baby seat in the rear of the vehicle. Maybe you had a package back there?
|
Same here since this morning on 2019 NX300. Every lock comes with that warning. There is nothing back there.
|
Good to know, so likely an App malfunction? Called Lexus Support and they had no clue and told me to call for service...
|
Looks like everyone is going to be checking their rear seats today if they lock their cars....lol
|
LOL I don't have a 2016 so I don't have to check my rear seat. But it's there anyway. :-)

I googled this exact notification and found this thread haha. I have a GS 2016 and got the same notification, there’s nothing back there!

Aug 11th check your rear seat
Well good to know I'm not alone!!

Checking rear seat
I believe this vehicle alert appears when you lock your door remotely. It is a safety feature because you’re not physically present to look in the back seat, therefore it is reminding You to check your rear seat just in case you forgot a child in back. Just another layer of safety. I believe it only happens when you lock your car remotely. Hope this helps someone not leave a child in the back seat. One suggestion, attach your spare key to your child’s car seat, jacket, etc. your car should alert you to a key left inside the vehicle which will remind you your baby is still in the vehicle even if they’re asleep.

Just in case some of you dont know and are getting the reminder on your app. You can disable the reminder in the settings on your lexus app. just click the one that says rear seat reminder and turn it off.

This happens on my car also which is Lexus 2023 NX 350 Premium.
Here's solution: Lexus app > click a person icon on the top right > Account > Notification Settings > "REAR SEAT REMINDER - Receive a reminder to check if passengers or objects remain in the vehicle" > "PUSH NOTIFICATION" > slide the button to the left to turn it off. |
No longer an issue since no 3G

Well since Lexus didn't think it was important to solve their 3G issue, I no longer have any remote capabilities in my 2016, so problem solved I guess... Shame on Lexus for not proposing an upgrade path. I paid good money for a car that lost all its remote features and most apps too. Not cool, even though the car is rock solid in terms of reliability. |
