Thank you for sharing.
Good to know Avalons' transmissions are compatible. Do you think you could have replaced it with jacks on the garage floor?

I was shocked . My 2013 ES350's transmission suffered a severe breakdown about 11 months after purchasing from a private seller. There was no indication whatsoever that there was a problem leading up to its failure. Could not drive it , had it towed to AAMCO in Pickering Ontario Canada. I found a JDM transmission with 60K on it from Toronto Auto Parts in Etobicoke Ontario (burb of Toronto). They delivered the transmission the same afternoon (I bought it over the phone with an etransfer purchase) in a snow storm the 50 kms. Took him 2.5 hrs and the AAMCO stayed open for me to accept the delivery. Was as good as new. It was a U660E doesnt matter if its from a Toyota or Lexus. Cost me $3500 + $100 for one year warranty + sales tax.

PS) It was a hard find I tell you .. this place was a savior :-) .. they have all sorts of JDM engines and transmission.
