No heat on passenger side
Hello! I have a 2013 ES 300h recently I have been dealing with no heat on passenger side. The driver side heats up without any issue while driving it get pretty warm but the passenger side just don't heat up at all. I tried switching the temperature from HI to LO on the passenger side I can hear the actuator moving I also switched the driver side temperature from HI to LO can hear the actuator running. Both sides when I turn HI to LO it switches to A/C Cold air blows out. Somehow the passenger side does not blow warm when switching to HI. On the passenger side when you switch from LO to HI you can feel the different in air temperature from Cold to Normal fan temperature air no warm air from passenger side. I check engine coolant level is good. I am very hesitant to believe its the Thermostat or the Heater Core since I do get heat on the driver side and also switching the temperature on both driver and passenger side you can hear the actuator running. Seeking for troubleshooting advice any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Did you try the Dual Mode button to select same temperature on both sides?

I’ve got the same issue with my ES 300H 2014.
only thing is with mine, if the heater is on, it may eventually start getting warm 30min into ride. But this is random. I also only get 29-30mpg. With 37 mpg being the best( from previous ownership). I purchased at 140k. No warning or strange engine lights on. |
Yeah... I did also try dual and single zone play with the temperature still not heat on the passenger side.

What is your weather condition like in your area? I am in the Northern Indiana area where we get extreme winter storm. My car just reached 150k. I only get about the same 29-30mpg. In the summer time (Around 70F) I can still reach about 37 to 39 sometime 40mpg if I go easy on the gas pedal.
Right now I've been driving with heat only on the driver side which its okay I drive without passenger most of the time. Plan to dig into this issue further the weather is warmer. Hopefully someone here finds a solution to this issue. |

Well. We have a 2013 GS350 and the climate control blanked out the passenger side numbers and refuses to blow any air. It's been like this for half of March 2022 and a service appointment was scheduled for tomorrow. I sat in the running car and went through the menu to climate on the left screen and saw that the icon of front seat rear seat with a diagonal line through it had a yellow (chosen) light next to it. I clicked the light off; and the light on for rear seat -- and the numbers and control immediately started on the dashboard and center screen. When I waited for 15 minutes and restarted the car the icon of front seat/ rear seat was lit again, but everything works as usual. I don't know if it will work tomorrow. This is something you might try. This appears to be a computer problem. Either reimage or fix the corruption.
