Default Erratic outdoor temp readings

2016 ES300h, 31k miles....recently noticed the outdoor temp display in dash was not accurate, especially for the first 30 minutes or so after startup. After that, the reading gradually normalizes. I am guessing that this temp reading controls the climate system, so it may be more than an annoyance. I have a dealer/warranty appointment tomorrow, but suspect they may not be able to duplicate the malfunction, since I will be driving more than 30 minutes to get there, and it will probably be ok by then. Anyway, at least I will have documented the complaint before warranty expires on Aug. 1st. Has anyone else had this problem?

How innacurate? It is normal for the sensor to read ~10F higher if parked in sunlight, especially on black asphalt. If then drops once you start driving as the sensor cools down by incoming airflow.
