Rear window defroster
 

Hi, should rear window defroster be under warranty? Just bought certified lexus used from large dealership and noticed the rear defogger only half works. Assuming broken lead in it somewhere. Just wondering if they will hassle me. Can i take to any lexus dealership ?

My guess is that it would be covered under warranty but I'm not sure what your CPO warranty includes. I also believe that to repair or replace it would be big bucks...
As far as taking it to any Lexus dealer, if is a Lexus CPO vehicle you can take it to any Lexus dealer.

I will look thru the warranty and see what i find. Texted the sales guy too and awaiting response. Thx

Defroster grid AFAIK can be repaired with a product much like a paint touch up pen. Possibly there’s a break in the grid that can be bridged with this product. I’m not familiar with this in a Lexus, so it could be something else.

Are you sure the defroster is half bad? Some of those lines are an antenna.
