Aftermarket head unit - thoughts?
 

Hey everyone,

what are your thoughts on the below aftermarket head unit?

1.) will parking sensors work - pass through to screen?
2.) will this work with Mark Levinson (ultra luxury package)

Good luck with things from China. And what’s the warranty? And how fast do you think they’ll respond to a warranty claim? You’re trying to make a car into something it isn’t.

No brand name even? Pass.

Looks like it'll mimic the stock system, but run Android instead of whatever Lexus is running by default. I don't see the advantage since they (claim to have) kept the interface looking/behaving the same. A good general rule of thumb with modern cars where the "radio" is fully integrated with everything including the air conditioner, is to keep it stock. Anything else is just inviting trouble.

I remember a similar discussion on the TL forums back when I had my Acura. Someone checked Crutchfield's instructions for installing an aftermarket head unit on the 3rd gen TL. They boiled down to "Don't."

I am enticed but I’m just as pessimistic with things like that as these guys are... looks good in the pictures of course but probably a nightmare once you try installing it..
