Michelin Primacy MXM4-Mileage when replaced?
For those who had Michelin Primacy MXM4s as original tires on their car and who have purchased new tires--at what mileage did your replace the MXM4's?
|
Around 40k, but still had another 10k left on the tread until 2/32”.
|
47,500, started to see sidewall failure (splitting) on the inner sides. Tread would have lasted a bit longer however. Aged at replacement was 5.5 years. I have the same tires on my other Lexus, with about 25K miles, and at 5 years of use, I am starting to see some splitting issues in the tread grooves.
So, tread depth is only part of the equation, age is an equal consideration. |
50.2k
The outer edges were especially worn out (no groves left) when replaced, middle was at the wear bars. |
When i got my 2016 ES300h it had 37k on it two tires where brand new and two where the original Micheline had 3/32nds tread left on the original Micheline tires at 37k this was also a Florida vehicle hotter roads tires wear down .
so also how about when posting tires miles when replacing what climate you where in also when? |
2013 ES300h tires replaced at 45,000 miles. They could have gone to 50,000 miles but I did not want to take any chances.
