Hey guys, thanks for the help. I was eventually able to get into contact from someone from Lexus and they were able to verify that the Enform subscription lapsed long ago, so we should be safe.

I'm not a lawyer, especially in the details of CA divorce-law, but, from what I do know about law in general, in most places, a family-court judge can order the Enform disabled/cancelled or transferred to someone else's name. The judge can also, if called for, issue a restraining order, forbidding your father from having contact with your mother or attempting to hassle or threaten her in any way. True, your father may have legal control of the ES right now, but, given that he has a brand-new Highlander and certainly is not lacking in the transportation department, I'd guess that your mom and her lawyer would not have much trouble convincing a judge to award her custody of the ES, and/or have it transferred into her name.

Make friends with a Lexus Tech. I am sure there is a wiring diagram out there that you can just pull something off of and disable it, but a quick google search came up with nothing for me.

Not a lawyer but with Calif worthless gun laws that little meant to be humorous tongue in cheek comment about mom and dad would be more than enough to have the sheriff dept at his front door confiscating any and all guns he might possess. Not only that but he would be forced into a psych consultation to establish his chance of hurting people. I know it sounds crazy but there ya go. After all we are talking about a state that may soon be regulating the foods you can eat bases on the degree of possible gas emissions from flatulence release.
