Integrating with an iPod.
My iPod Video has been out of service for a few years. It integrated with my 2013 ES, and I was able to use the car controls to browse through the device, but I haven't tried it with the 2018.
I'm going to get it repaired. I was thinking of having it dual boot both the stock Apple firmware, and Rock Box.
Would that case any issues with it integrating with the 2018 ES?
Has anyone else tried it with Rock Box firmware on their device?

Lexus head units will generally work with an Apple device via USB. That's most likely because the head unit has the right software to be able to access and control the controls on the iPhone/iPod. I have had no luck controlling an Android phone via USB. It doesn't even see the device. I have no idea about Rock Box firmware. If you are going to have it set for dual boot, then it should be easy enough to try out with no risk.

Yes, I would be connecting the iPod via USB. The iPod doesn't have Bluetooth.
Thanks for the responses, it sounds like it should still work.
