Winter and creaking doors
It went down to 12C this morning, I drove out of my basement garage and I heard some creaks from the rear doors when going up the ramp. I can also hear this when I go over a bump at an angle.
Could this be the dreaded sunroof creaking? I'm doubting it because I can feel and hear a creak from the front doors too. It rarely happens during the warmer months, only during the transition to winter. |

You may have to put some Shin-Etsu grease on all the seals. Our CRV and ES had this, solved by using the grease.
Isn't that some fancy Honda silicone grease? If I can't find the stuff, would some silicone spray be OK? I think exterior seals would need heavier duty stuff than typical interior vinyl protectants. |

Shin-etsu grease does wonders. Bit pricey!

I use NAPA Silicone grease in a tube when I have problems like that. Squeeze a little on my finger and rub it in. I currently use it on the rubber window channels on my '89 Corolla AllTrac Wagon when the windows get hard to crank. It works good. Here's a link to it. https://www.napaonline.com/en/p/BK_7651351 Its handy stuff to have on hand.
