Default Display brightness adjustment

Just picked up a 2015 ES350 without Nav. Is there any way to adjust the brightness of the display? The buttons on the dash only seem to adjust the instrument cluster. At night the display is just too bright for my taste. I know it can be turned off completely but I rather just lower it a bit. Thanks for any help.

There's a switch to the left of the steering wheel above your left knee. Button left and and button right (for dimmer or brighter) ive found that while the lights are off, it doesn't nothing.

I believe that this switch is for the instruments only. For the display on carswith navigation there is a setting for day and night. Dimmer at night and brighter during daylight. I'm thinking you may have this setting for your car without navigation. Check your owner's manual.
