Getting delivery on new 2018 ES, any chance for wheels?
I will be picking up my new ES in a couple days. I HATE the wheels (the gunmetal finish). I saw some videos with a more shiny wheel/tire combo. Are these stock on any ES models? Anyone have luck in getting dealer to swap, even at a cost?

You may have some success if you make the deal BFORE you take delivery. On my 2016 I really wanted the ES Hybrid wheels on a ES350 and after months of talking I finally said okay I will give you $500 to take the wheels off a Hybrid and you can put my wheels on the Hybrid and charge for "optional wheels" - the sales manager thought about this for maybe 15 seconds, smiled and said "okay". This wheel was new at the time and $500 was far less than I could have secured Hybrid wheels by any other means so even at $500 I left happy and I have no idea how much they added to the Hybrid for the optional 17" wheels.
When I later totaled that car the only cars they had with 17" wheels were the dark grey / gunmetal and for the first time in 25 years I liked them well enough to buy a Lexus without changing the wheels to something else - often at least chrome. They used to charge $1,000 for chrome wheels and were able to add $1,000 to the cap cost on a lease - I understand now they can add for both chrome and black wheels.
So stay on the salesman for the wheels you want but don't let them sell you any expensive aftermarket wheels. With the 2019 ES's having different (and pretty nice) wheels, if there are any takeoffs or anything in inventory they might work with you - Good Luck. The 2019 ES wheels look pretty good to me but you will not see anyone wanting to swap those for you at this time.

With the deal being done, as Dave Mac stated, I think you'd have little chance of getting the dealer to do a swap at this point. I would have made it part of the whole deal... Try offering them a deal they can't refuse...

The "shiny wheel" you are referring to is present on the Luxury version of the 2018 ES and they are technically called 17" Split 10-Spoke Machined Finish Wheels. Lexus Dealerships normally do not "swap" wheels.
