I guess the answer is obvious they don't want you to compare shop between different dealerships.).
Congrats. What options?

I just bought a new ES and happy with it, About the same discount as most here, BUT<<< The thing that sticks in my craw is how hard they the Finance guy tried to upsale me on extra insurances like Curb Rash ins... Scotch guard,, Extended warranty, etc..Careful of that type of rip off. Do others do that?

Got a ES 300h on the last day of August. Got 10k off the $49k MSRP, so just above 20% off. I contacted six dealers that last week of the month and playing them off against each other. All the 300h left on the lots are $48+k, so it mostly came down to the colors. We went with the local dealership when they matched the best offer of $6k dealer cash, plus the $4k Lexus rebate. I got a separate $750 military credit for financing with Lexus. The local dealership was sneaky and initially tried to roll that $750 into the $10k discount as they knew I was military, so I had to point out the farther away dealerships offering $10k off definitely weren't including it since they didn't know I was active duty. Overall, very happy with the car so far.

Does anybody know how much dealer cash is currently available to Lexus dealerships for the outgoing 2018 ES 300h? I am aware of the $4k Lexus cash to customers for purchase. It seems dealers are no longer offering $10k or more off on the 2018 ES 300h even though they have a few 2019's in stock.

yep. They all do that. Told my sales guy before hand that I am not going buy anything extra since I was gonna gift it to my sister in 4 years after the warranty expires and he told the finance guy. The finance guy didn’t look too happy. Good thing one of my buddy was there, otherwise it was a silent process.

They definitely tried to do it more to me in 2013, than 2018. That was a small factor in me not being as committed to the same dealer, in 2018, and visiting some other ones.

Hey everybody ! New member here. First of all thank you to everyone who posted their experiences in this thread. That helped me a lot with getting a good deal. I purchased the ES 350 in Eminent White exterior and Black interior for just about 20% discount off of MSRP.
