Door Edge Guards.
Can someone post a pic of a car with and without the door edge guards? I haven't been able to figure out how they look either with our without.

Door edge guards have been around forever. For any car. Just Google image it you'll find a ton. It's just a strip down the edge of your door

I have the door edge guards on my 2018 Matador Red Mica, color matches perfectly, and you don't even notice them. Also have them on my wife's 2016 RX350 Matador Red Mica, same comments apply.

What Nodim said. I had to look twice after I had them installed to make sure they were really there. They are not the plastic obtrusions I was used to seeing on previous cars but a narrow film that runs along the door edge.

As a matter of clarification, mine are not a film, but a piece of flexible color coded hard plastic ~1/8" wide with an adhesive that attaches to the trailing edge of the door. If you weren't looking for it, you likely wouldn't notice it at all.

Now I see there's a little strip.
If anyone has them on their Lexus, can they take a pic? Just because it might get it from a better angle, than the pics I see on searches. Those pics are from the side of the car, while it might be easier to see the door is open and the pic is taken from behind. Or whatever someone thinks would be good.

Interesting. I took a second look at mine and its hard to determine whether it is hard plastic or a film. If the latter it is certainly thick enough to do the job. But like yours it is color-coded (Eminent White in my case) and virtually invisible.

The door edge guards on my 2017 ES are definitely a clear protective film. As I said in a different thread, I have no idea whether the car came out of the factory with them or whether they were added later by the dealer or as a port installed add-on. In any case, they are virtually invisible.

I think there's a difference between door edge guards, and door edge film.
As I noted in the Accessories between different models. thread, it seems that between the IS, ES, GS, and LS, some accessories are available on some models, but not others.
If you look at the IS accessories page, they have both Door Edge Film, and Door Edge Guards.

So I think @lesz has the film, but @nodim2 has the guards. nodim2 described them as hard plastic.
I still don't think the picture of the guards on the accessories page is very good. So I'm wondering if someone can help and take a better picture, with perhaps a better angle, of them.

Yes they are different. Door Edge Guards are made out of metal and rubber and the Door Edge Film is made out of clear plastic or a clear wrap.

Can someone post a picture of the door edge guards? It's not clear to me, from the Lexus accessories page.
