Default Remote start recommendations for 2013 Lexus ES300H?

I've been looking on the forums and called the dealership but can't find a consistent answer. It appears that the remote starter was offered for some models but not others and mine doesn't appear to be one of the models which had it.

Does anyone have any recommendations on a reputable company to have install this feature? I see Viper mentioned a lot but I'm pretty much a noob to the fullest extent so please bare with my ignorance.

My 2013 has the factory installed keyfob remote start. Pretty much useless, unless 20 feet away or closer. I had a Viper in my last car. I would go with that if I were you.

Yeah that's what I read "no obstructions and must be within 20 feet" what a load of **** for such a premium vehicle. Does $1k sound reasonable for parts/install? Guess it's going to depend moreso on the model i'm getting. Right now i'm looking at the Viper 5901. The selling points I see are that includes smartphone integration and climate control. The module for smartphone integration is an extra hundred bucks but worth it IMO. I am tempted to do the install myself but am not sure if I'll have a ***** of time doing it with the navigation system being involved.

Is anyone here able to shed light on the install process for a remote starter before?

Edit: nevermind. people online are saying you better be a pro at wiring otherwise you could burn the car down and bastardize the whole damn wiring system.

I wouldn't mess with the wiring trying to install a RS. Back in 2013 when I found out that Lexus wanted about $700.00 for a remote starter in my 2013, I bought an Audiovox unit and had it installed for less than $300.00. Still working, range of about 100 feet. There are numerous units out there including Viper, some with internet access and some with just the key fob. Most are in the $300.00 range for an aftermarket RS w/o smartphone access and w/o a monthly fee. Your car is out of warranty so no worries. I didn't want any monthly payments so went w/o the smartphone application.

Yeah I decided against it. I found a certified viper dealer next to my house that will do the install for 260 and it's built into my keyfob which is great. I am thinking of adding the smart phone capability but it brings the price from 260 to 670 just so i can turn on/off the vehicle, unlock/lock doors and pop the trunk. probably not worth it for that price.

Plus a monthly fee for internet access.

If you live in TX, you should be fine without the smartphone feature. I used it often in my last car, because I used to have to park outside when it was -20 degrees outside! I could be in my building at work about a half mile away and still start it.
