The nav. is avoiding toll roads even though I have set up to take toll roads. Yesterday it deliberately took me around a toll road which would have added over 30 minutes of travel time. Yes I have set to shortest option as well. Seems like shortest option may be distance but certainly not in time. Any suggestions?

Yes, shortest is distance. You should change that.

 

Shortest distance is not the shortest time. I need shortest time and do not see that option.

 

That doesn't exist. Is this your first auto with a built in nav? They usually leave a lot to be desired.

 

Not first vehicle with nav, but apparently the worst.
The option that allows toll roads should direct you to a toll road and it doesn't...that the issue.

 

Allowing it is not the same thing as directing to it, if there are competing instructions in its "mind".

Your initial statement was unclear, Would the toll road have added or saved distance over the non-toll-road route?
