Retainer glove comp 55567-33040
Hey Guys, just recently got a 2013 ES350, so am new to the forum... so far been pretty happy with it... forum and car :P
Anyway, i had a Quick question to ask if anyone knows. I got the car used and in the glove box along with all the manuals etc, there is a plastic piece sitting there, the serial number being 55567-33040... Now a quick google search reveals its a Retainer Glove Box retainer thing of some sort... but i have no clue where it goes. Anyone have any idea?? Here is a pic of what it is... https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.clu...986e8b0d22.jpgThis is what the part looks like... https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.clu...5101ea95b5.gifIts number 5 on this diagram of the glove box... Thanks in advance...!! |

I believe it's the shelf that snaps into slots on the side and bottom of the glove box. |

On the right side of the box wall you'll find a small slot. The small tab goes into that slot and the other end gets pushed into the bottom panel of the box. It is a shelf that one can place papers on top and whatever underneath. Tis piece is removed to allow access to the cabin filter when it's time to be changed.
Here's a video showing the piece in question and how to change your cabin filter. |

I've actually got quite a few questions... Think I may start a general questions thread if there isn't one already...
