Just picked up my new ES350 a few days ago. I am concerned about stone chips as it seemed like every 13-15 used ES I looked at had stone chip damage. Part of the reason for me buying new.

I am considering the 3M option but just not sure I want to go that route. I don't do a ton of highway driving and am concerned about what the paint/finish would look like if the 3M film ever had to come off. Is it self healing? Cost may also be an issue.

Anyhow, I do make a 2500 mile round trip to FL every spring. Has anyone had luck with a traditional bra that fits over the front end? That way I would probably only have it on for the seldom long trips I make. I have not really been able to find anything either Lexus or aftermarket.

Your link was no good but I found the old thread. Thanks for posting the pics. Great color combo....exactly like mine Atomic Silver/Black.

Do you or anyone else have any idea if the front profile is the same for 13-15 and the 16? Obviously the grill is different and it looks like the sensors are in slightly different spots and fog is different. But to cover for a trip here and there that wouldn't bother me. Does the radar (DCC) work with that bra>
Don't think they make one for the '16 yet. That has been my problem.

Since you seem to have had it for a while.....no issues with paint damage or anything else since you have been using it?

Just got off the phone with Colgan and they have not gotten enough requests to develop it yet. So if you are interested......call them and make a request. I will post when I get a reply from them if they have an ETA on a bra for the 2016 ES

I would not recommend trying a 2013-2015 car bra on a 2016 as the bumper is too different. So far I have only had that one trip, Atlanta to Orlando and back. I put a good coating of wax on the areas before I installed the car bra and had absolutely no damage to the paint. The color is cool I really like the Atomic Silver. There were no issues using the radar cruise control or parking sensors with the car bra installed.

I have a full hood Suntek paint protection film on my LS, and you would never know it was there. I will never buy another vehicle without this sort of protection. Wasn't cheap, I paid $1,400 but there are no lines, the full hood and fenders are covered, I'd recommend it.

Had a partial 3M kit of my GS and this is much better.

Has anyone else installed the Colgan bra? I noticed it comes in 2 colors, black and carbon fiber. I think the carbon fiber might look slick on my 2013 ES.

Yes, I have the black one. I had posted photos here somewhere. See this: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/es-...xus-es350.html

I talked to Colgan and the bra for the 2016-2017 is finally available. It's cheaper to buy it from a third party than from Colgan directly. I will probably purchase over the next week or two. I believe it is part #BC5673 followed by a two letter code for either the Black Crush or Carbon Fiber finish. Got a price of $173 and $56 for the side view mirror covers.

Does anyone have experience with either finish and how much it stretches over time? Jollick? Rep at Colgan told me the Carbon Fiber stretches more over time which is not a good thing.

I did not get the Carbon Fiber finish and I purchased directly from the manufacturer as it was not available any other way at the time. I am still very happy with it. It is still very snug, no stretching.

Finally got the Colgan bra. Not too different from the 2013-21016. Not as hard to put on as I thought.
