2015 ES350 transmission question(s) please.
Good morning.
I have a 2015 ES350 with just over 1,400 miles (no, I don't drive a lot at all).
Can somebody tell me if the auto trans on the ES350 is of the "adaptive" type that takes a while to "learn" the driver's driving style (such as I've had in former Ford and Dodge cars)?
In addition, I seem to have some "slip" when coming to a rolling stop such as at a stop sign and then accelerating from a rolling stop...seemingly when the car is "cold" having not been driven very far at all...say about two miles or so.
Thanks to anybody who can give some feedback to me.
Thanks.

Yes, the transmissions on these cars learn from past driving behavior. I am not sure what you mean by 'slip', though. Does it seem to you that the engine revs too much for the speed? Perhaps because it is staying in 1st gear too long and not up shifting soon enough. I have not noticed that in the 2015 350 I have driven. You may ask the dealer to reset the transmission by disconnecting the battery, so that it can learn your driving behavior.
