locked doors=different climate settings

:confused:need some help guys.....whenever i get out of the vehicle and lock it the hvac settings are changed when i come back. ie; i set the auto fuction on and temp to 70 coming back it's at 80 and 82 passenger. is this an issue or does this have something to do with settings like memory seats or the key fob setting. i can't seem to figure it out. again it only happens if i physically lock the doors either by fob or door handle sensor.

I have not had that happen on either of my ES vehicles.

I think you'll find the answer to this issue on page 302 of the Navigation System Owner's Manual. If your manual is different than mine, look for "registering air conditioning settings with a smart key". I found it in the index under "climate". Let us know if this is the answer.

This is in my manual for 2013.

That certainly has not ever happened to me. It would drive me insane if it did.

ok guys something is weird for sure.....wifes fob goes to 72 when she locks it and comes back, and like a said before mine goes to 80. now ironically i like 72 and my wife likes 80. so i think somehow the fob's learned this or was programmed when we set something. come on guys i know somebody out there must no what's up. i'll try to dig into the manual to see if i can find the remedy.

That would be the simple resolution or read:

"registering air conditioning settings with a smart key".

I agree with Mike. Just switch fobs, and readjust your seat settings. ;)
