Anything to know before disconnecting the battery?

I was curious if there is anything I ought to do before disconnecting the battery. Do I need a radio code? I want to add a bypass harness to the radio/GPS/DVD, and the instructions say I must disconnect the battery first.

I just did this on my sister's Honda. I don't know if you must have the radio code and password in hand to reactivate the radio when the battery is reinstalled in a Lexus. If you do, the information is on a card given to you when you buy the car. It should be in the glove box. If you lose the card it will cost you to obtain the information. A real PITA. The radio serial number is ON the radio. So check before you disconnect. You'll probably lose your radio presets as well.

If you have mercedes, there are lots of things to know before disconecting a battery! Other cars not so muc expect for the radio code.

You don't need a radio code. I'm not sure if you'll lose your presets or not. Lexus hasn't used radio codes in many, many years.

I've changed out my batteries my older RX and GS without any issues.

Great. I will try to make the install this weekend. Thanks for the info everyone (crossing fingers). I'll try to post a video on the install.
