Re: e-destination, mbrship in Enform required?
My title says it all. I thought one could use e-desitination without having to pay for an Enform membership. I guess I'm incorrect? Is there another method? - I want to be able to input a destination at home on my PC and then have it registered on my Nav. system - I have a 2013 Lexus ES 350. Thank you.

You do need to pay for eDestination, as it's subscription based. You can, however, use Saved Destinations through Enform, without a fee. You use the app on your phone to do it. It works well.

I liked the feature and used it a lot. I did not renew. I use Bing in the Apps in the car. I haven't tried the saved destinations in the phone app. I will have to check it out.

Saved destination is done on the computer or phone?
|
okay, quick question from me... I'm still within the first year of ownership on my Lexus so I still have the free one year use of E destination... normally when I call them and ask them to send me a destination, I enter it into my address book on the nav system.. Will I no long have use of the address book and the destinations I have already entered in there after my free year expires? Just curious..

I tried to use it thru enform and couldn't figure it out. Please help us out JDR...
Go into the Enform app on your phone. Open Bing through Enform. Once in Bing, do your address search - you can enter a point of interest (i.e. "Starbucks") or a street address. Once that's in there, select it and click "SAVE". Now, once in your car, go to your nav and open the Apps Suite. If your software is up to date, you will have an app labeled "Saved Destinations". Click on that, then "Yes" to update, and your saved address should come up. From there you can click on it and get your directions. I hope this helps. |

Thanks, JDR (I'm the OP); I'm using a smartphone that is a Huawei (a sort of generic but very popular in China). I'm using it for a testing purpose given to me so I don't see anything compatible, I guess, on Enform to use. Will have to wait until I get a "real" name-brand phone, I guess!
