Default Questionable noise

Hello Guys,

I have some questions about this car, specifically on some noises im hearing.

When I use my AM radio (especially when it goes on HD AM) I can hear a faint background crackling noise.

When I am using my phone (Iphone4S) on Bluetooth, I hear a buzzing noise in the background. I don't remember hearing this before, but when I took it to the dealer, they showed me another ES 300h that seems to have the same background noise issue. Im wondering is it just my phone causing this? Or do you guys all seem to have this same issue?

Thanks!!

Seeming to me like interference. OR the speaker amp is not properly grounded.

BUT this should be happening with anything you listen too. AM freq shows the most artifacts because its such a Low freq. tried different AM channels?(offcourse)

You still have this issue when the engine is turned off?

There are certain areas near me where I regularly get inteference or a weak signal on the two AM stations that I listen to. Could that be it?

Do you happen to have tinted windows? Some tints can interfere with the signal.

Nope I have no tinted windows, and I will probably have to go back to the dealer to see if they can check the speaker grounding.

Hopefully its that!! I know AM usually isn't the best, but I just dont recall hearing background noise when listening to the AM or using my phone before.

One thing I thought may have been causing it, was I just recently had the dealer install a car starter (uses the cell phone to start the car). I took it back to the dealer and they disabled it (unhooked everything) and I still heard the noise. So it can't be the starter causing it.
