It would make a world of difference if those were the same color as the body of the car. They look OK but stand out way too much in black. IMO of course...

Well I look at it as they are a great contrast to the very light color of satin cashmere. I could paint them but think I'll keep them in black. I had a light blue Avalon before this car with black mud guards also. This is why they make chocolate and vanilla...

Sunday last was the first day here that was above 50F since the winter. I just had time to do the fronts. I believe that to mount the rear mud guards the wheels must be removed. I don't see that there's enough room to work with them in place. I do have them and plan on getting them on at first opportunity. When I do, I'll post additional photos.

Hello, new to the forum. It took me only a few weeks after I bought my ES Nov last year, to realize that the painted underside behind the front wheel (back wheel too) was getting road tar and excessive dirt splash. Ordered the guards and had them painted by a paint shop. He did a very good job of matching and painting. My opinion is that the guards look somewhat acceptable on the front, but not so well on the back wheel well. Therefore, I did not install the back guards. I'm sure others will have differing opinions. See pictures below. Let me know what you think.

I installed these on my 350 months ago for the same reasons as you. I also only installed the front guards, but only because the rear has no screw holes to attach them to. One would have to drill thru the paint to attach the rears which I refuse to do for fear of rust occurring. I considered painting mine but think that the black makes a nice contrast with the Satin Cashmere paint. One of the other members of this blog called them "hideous".
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Yours look beautiful being painted the car color. These mud guards are definitely functional and do protect your shiny paint.

To the best of my knowlege there are no factory mud guards available for the Lexus 350/300.
As previously stated, the guards from Ebay fit the front perfectly and the factory screw holes in the fender line up with the mounting holes on the part. (see the photos) They mount very easily and securely. I have had mine on for about 6 months. They absolutely do save the paint. The rears are a different story. There are NO mounting holes provided by Lexus and therefore one would have to drill thru the paint to mount the guards. A definite No-No. Although I have the rears I have not mounted them and do not plan to use them.

Sorry for going off-topic here, but where did you get that chrome molding on the bottom of your ES? That looks sharp, but thought it was only included on the LS.

Funny, I asked him the same question about the chrome strip. Looks good and I'd like to get it.
My buddy has a 2012 and it came with the ES350. Also on the trunk edge.
