I too have a new es300h and I want to give it some new shoes. I was thinking I would also go with 20s, does anyone have any ideas or suggestions on what rim width and offset I should be considering? 8.5 or 9 inch width? And what size tres will fit without rubbing? Looks like someone got some 245/35/20s on the car. That's probably the ideal size I would think. Any tips or suggestions would be appreciated.

Hello all 6th generation ES owners. As I have some free time on my hands, I thought I'd write up a short article on my experience with aftermarket wheels and tires for the 2013 Lexus ES300h.
First off let me say that I've spoken to personnel at the local Lexus dealership in Miami, aftermarket specialists, and friends in the automotive business to make sure that I wouldn't void the warranty, mess with the geometry of the wheels, or anything else that may ruin the car. With that said, these are the specifics.
Vossen VVSCV7 Monoblock Wheels (polished silver) - 20x9 all around
Nitto Invo 245/35/20 Luxury Sport Ultra High Performance Radial Tires
Here is the breakdown in tire size from OEM to aftermarket.
Bridgestone Turanza EL400 215/55/17
Overall Diameter: 26.31"
Ride Height Overall Radius: 13.16"
Nitto Invo 245/35/20
Overall Diameter: 26.75"
Ride Height Overall Radius: 13.38"
As you can see the ride height is approximately .02 inches higher than stock with an overall increase in diameter of 0.44 inches. This increase will not affect the speedometer, tire pressure sensors, or anything else for that matter.
First impressions: The ride comfort is the same, though there is an increase in road noise. This would be due to the larger tire size (contact patch).
The steering lock is the same as before. There is no rubbing at full steering lock. After driving over train tracks, large pot holes, and speed bumps, there was no bottoming out or rubbing.
As for the miles per gallon: I was getting 38.5mpg before. Afterwards I was still getting 38.5mpg. Unlike what others have said, I don't see a difference.
Tire Pressure Monitors: They work just fine. The tire pressure is now 40psi.
Kudos go out to Jay at dubsandtires.com for getting me a great deal on the wheels and tires. Look them up if you're interested in getting a quote.
Just an FYI...There's a 3M clear bra on the front bumper, front of the hood, and side mirrors.

Thank you
Thank you very much for this post. I was looking to see if 20" would fit my new 300h and this helped me immensely. Now just to see if I can get my hands on a set of vvscv4's that fit!!

Yes I agree, I am looking forward to putting some 20s on my new car as well. And although I read the entire post above I was hoping to hear another perspective on sizing of the rims and tires. Still never found out what kind of off set I would need on the rim to ensure clearance of the rotors, etc. I'm probably gonna go with an 8.5 inch rim width and 245/35/20 size tires.

FWD sedans usually use something like a +35 offset for 8.5" width for a flush look. I'm getting 3-piece wheels made for my car, should have them in a few weeks. I can post offset if you' need em by then.

Really nice choice for wheels. I love the new ES and am really surprised there aren't more modded ones. I'm considering getting a black one for the wife this summer.
This set up with the Vossen wheels looks hot!

Yes. I had the dealership tint them a couple of weeks after I bought the car. It's the legal tint. I think it's 25%. With the black interior it looks much darker than it really is. I just wanted to keep the hot Florida sunshine out of my eyes.
Not that I recommend having the dealership do it, but in 2006 when I bought my IS350, I had a local shop tint the windows. The installer cut the door panels with his knife, which eventually spread on both sides of the car. At least with the dealership, you can count on them to get it right. If they don't, they're going to pay for it. Literally.
