Ordered a fully loaded 2013 ES350

After many frustrating calls and e-mails I was finally able to place a special order for the 2013 ES350. I wanted all the safety features and nobody has one coming with the Pre-Collision System. Also, with the high end packages most cars come with the 18 inch wheels which are rated at "substantially less than 15,000 miles". I didn't want the heated steering wheels with leather but had to order it because of the Ultra-Luxury package, makes no sense on a custom order but so be it. I had to get VP level assistance from Lexus headquarters because the special order web site that the dealers use is not running yet, it had to be entered manually, what a pain. They said it will be built in October. I waited a year for this car so a few months will not make a difference. I also wanted the full size tire on the alloy wheel as a spare but that is not orderable. Different headquarters people told me it will fit in the spare tire well but one said it will stick up. I guess I will check it out when I get the car and order it later if it fits. I don't want a 100 mile rated spare when I drive 1300 miles from NJ to Fl. The car will be red with parchment interior, Ultra-luxury package and all other features.

Could you answer a few questions?
What does the manual say about the mileage rating of the spare tire and does it have a pressure indicator that can be read on the display?
My dealer is putting a $600 dealer fee on the invoice. Did yours have that kind of a charge?

Thanks

Is Ihat $600 dealer fee just because of demand, or are they adding some additional items to the car?

They didn't say what it is for. I am ordering a car with specific options so it will take 3 months to get it. They are not adding anything at the dealership. Your invoice didn't have any such charges?

Can you answer the spare tire questions?

Thanks,

robagt

I have no idea about the tire, the manual is bigger than War & Peace.
I paid a $285.00 documentation fee that is totall fluff to add to their bottom line, but no premium to have the second 2013 ES350 they delivered.

The Lights did me in!!

Went to look and drove new ES ended up trading in my 06 GS ! Oh well you don't really need a good salesperson because the car really sells itself ! (IMHO) Drove silver ,but bought obsidian with parchment .This gorgeous thing was right in the center of showroom where lights made it scream for you to take it home!! And the rest will be history come Friday PM!!
Obsidian w/parchment
Blind spot monitor
18" wheels
HID lights
rear sunshade
Luxury package
Park Assist
Rain sensing wipers

Hi All,

Just ordered a new 2013 ES with luxery pkg. and nav. Nebula Gray Peral with Black interior. This will be my third new Lexus!

Got a decent deal from a dealer in MA after soliciting pricing from dealers in NY and NJ. You can do better by shopping around.

Look forward to participating in respective posts.

Can you share how close you were to invoice or MSRP on the car? I'll be looking in October and plan to shop around the Houston area and outlying cities.

Wish I hadda known...would have ordered sooner.

Just ordered a 2013 ES300h White w/parchment leather...fully loaded, Ultra Luxury package with all options. Didn't realize this package had to be special ordered; :doh:now I'll have to wait . It should arrive around Thanksgiving or early December. I wanted to see one in person first and they didn't arrive at the dealership until mid-August.

We picked up a Starfire Pearl ES350 on Tuesday. We have had plenty of envious eyes and numerous compliments. We traded in a 2007 IS350 and the extra space is welcoming.

Model ES350 with Luxury Package
Starfire Pearl with Parchment interior
Navigation System Package w/ Backup camera - 8"
17-in split 10-spoke alloy wheels w/ Liquid Graphite Finish
Rain Sensor Intermittent Wiper w/ Windshield De-Icer
Blind Spot Monitor w/ Rear Cross Traffic Alert
Intuitive Parking Assist
Power rear sunshade
High-Intensity Discharge (HID) headlamps
Wood and leather-trimmed shift knob and heated steering wheel
Alloy Wheel Locks
Cargo Net & Carpet Trunk Mat

For those that like WeatherTech mats, I have put in a product request for the ES350. The only 2013 Lexus they have mats for is the RX. I was told that 2-4 weeks before they are available.

sydtoosic 09-06-12 07:42 PM

evileye 09-07-12 06:23 AM

Nebula Gray Exterior
Black Interior w Bamboo

Mark Levison Audio
Blind Spot Monitor w Rear Cross Traffic Alert
HID Headlamps
Power Trunk Closer
Intuitive Parking Assist
Rain Sensing Wipers with Deicer
Leather Trimmed Shift Knob and Heated Wood & Leather Trimmed Steering Wheel
Accy Pkg: Trunk Mat, Cargo Net & Wheel Locks

Everyone, especially me, loves the car so far. My first Lexus. I couldn't resist buying this car after a test drive immediately following the ES350 I was prepared to buy.
