Cloudy radiator fluid
Hi,
Today I checked my coolant and found it kind of cloudy when I opened the radiator cover. It is not completely milky, the color is pretty good, but looked somehow cloudy. I noticed some signs of dried coolant around the coolant reservoir cover as well (I do not remember seeing it before). The radiator is full, the reservoir is not full, but it has some coolant in it. I took a sample and checked it against the light - it looks normal... :( .... I added water to the sample to see, if there would be any signs of oil floating on the surface - no signs of oil.. I checked engine oil and it looks good. See all pictures. I am confused. Is it a sign of something bad to come soon like head gasket or coolant pump, or it is just time to change the coolant? 60,000 miles, 2017 ES350. My wife drives it for about three years and she drives calmly. Thanks. https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.clu...50556e4ed2.jpg Coolant sample looks transparent https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.clu...958f99424e.jpg Engine oil looks good. You can buy kits to test coolant , not expensive. Check auto parts stores, Amazon etc.
