Default Spark Plugs

Well I decided to change the spark plugs on my 2013, ES 350 as part of some maintenance. I found a independent Lexus mechanic who will replace the plugs for $350 labor charge, with me supplying the oem plugs. and 3 plenum gaskets. I think its a pretty good price for the labor, since Lexus dealer wanted close to $1000 for labor and parts. The iridium oem denso plugs cost me $100 for 6 at Rock Auto. So the total cost for me is around $470 (plugs, labor, 3 gaskets.) Still not cheap but half the dealers charge.

$350 for labour is a fair price IMO. And since you bought on Rockauto you got actual genuine plugs not knock-offs, which often look exactly the same until you look closely.

My dealer asked 650 to do my wife’s rx350. I did them in 1 1/2 hours. Pretty easy once you remove the panels at the firewall.

The plenum does not need to be removed. Dont believe what you’re being told. 1 1/2 hours of your own time and remove the upper covers at the firewall. Easy peasy. I did my wife’s rx350 ad will be doing my es350 soon.

For 320, I would certainly replace them. I have a 2013 with 75K on it.

If I do a steady highway trip, I hit 30 as well. Amazing cars these are.
