Default Headlight Wiring Harness

2013 ES 350

I just changed the HID bulbs on both sides of my car and one will not come on. I used the bulb in both Pass-side and Driver side and it seems to be good but it will not come on on the driver side. What else can I do? The fuses are all good....... Is there a relay or could my wiring harness be bad?

Ballast could be bad. Get the ballast from passenger side and install it on the driver side.

Was the driver side working right before you went and changed the bulbs?

Negative. Drivers side was the dead side.

Where did you get the Bulbs, - Brand?

I would switch the known good side bulb, into that side. See if works? Be sure you have it seated correctly with the Clip over in. It's a PITA changing those blubs, and being sure they seat in correctly. If seated correctly could be the Bulb. I would check that before the ballast.

I used the burning bulb from the passenger side on the passenger side and it did not work. I then replaced the passenger side with the new bulb and it worked there. So I have two “good” bulbs that work on the passenger side. I bought a SylvaniaDS4 High Intensity Discharge HID HEADLIGHT BULB. It works on the passenger but not in the driver side…… I saw how difficult it is to pull the ballast off…… I was praying it was not that.

Welp, it was indeed the ballast that failed. The reason it failed was water intrusion into the headlamp assembly. I found that out when I replaced the ballast and the new one crapped the bed. Now I need a new headlamp assembly. of course I ordered one from Ebay and it arrived without a hole for the orange marker lamp/bulb. I sent it back and need to find one with a hole for that light. An OEM is freaking pricey!
