Compatible Techstream software to program key fob 2013 ES
Howdy! Looking to purchase and program a back-up key fob as we only had 1 with our hand-down ES. I've seen it can be a DIY process with the proper equipment and wanted to make sure I had the appropriate equipment before starting the process.
1: Which version of Techstream would be compatible with a 2013 ES350? I notice there are numerous versions on Amazon - anyone who's recently done this, link would be greatly appreciated!
2: Key fob should be New/Virginized to make the programming process most straight-forward?
3: Is it required to have a laptop running Windows XP? I was able to dig up an old notebook with Win 10, but didn't know if I'd need to Ebay one running XP?
Would appreciate anyone's tips that might be different from most of the typical programming threads on CL but a lot of them seemed to be for GS/IS models.
Thanks in advance!

1. AFAIK any version later than 2013 should work.
2. yes you need a new virginized key.
3. I am using WinXP but there are multiple resources on how to use on Win10/11 - just google it.
You may also want to consider a wallet key rather a regular key fob. I consider this to be of the best upgrades possible for ES. I do not carry any key with me anymore since I got one.

In that thread @NdYAG linked, there's another link leading to the ih8mud forum with a virtual machine image to use with TechStream already setup. There's also a lot more info in that thread on how to create a new keyfob, most of them were done on the card key, but they are the same instructions for a keyfob too.

I used this to create a Card Key for my 2017 ES3550, so it should work completely with what you are using. You will need to get a techstream cable off of Amazon or eBay. It did NOT work on my M1 Macbook Air, but I assume it's something on my end or due to a software issue. However, it did work on a Windows laptop.
Anything will work, I wouldn't use the software the cable comes with though, just use the virtual machine image.
Keyfob will need to be virginized.
