Has anyone had any experience with these retrofit kits that allow you to enable Apple CarPlay? I have a 2015 Lexus ES350 and I'm considering the UNAVI - Lexus ES XZ10VX60 CarPlay retrofit.

We are happy to answer any questions you may have. Some of the frequently asked questions are:
1.How does the Apple Carplay Module hook up to my car?
Generally one connector will go to your screen and two connectors will go to your headunit/radio.

2.Does this Carplay Retrofit Module replace my existing IDRIVE/MMI/NTG system?
No, the retrofit CarPlay/Android Auto system works in parallel with the existing iDrive/MMI/NTG system. For example, you can swtich between the two by pressing the MENU button on the BMW radio panel. You do not need to remove any of the BMW iDrive system components, you simply “add in” the Carplay Module using the plug and play wiring loom. The same is true for Audi, Mercedes, Mini and VW etc.
We provide: 30 DAYS FREE RETURN GUARANTEE & 2-YEAR-WARRANTY.

Carplay Retrofit Kits
I just put a Roadtop box for my ES350 (2015) Basic (with ****) and it works fine so far. I will try to see if I can upload pictures later as the attempts to do so have not worked...

I mounted the box under the OEM radio/AC unit with foam tapes and secured with zip ties.

No, never tried. Mine has a built in navigation and it works fine so I didn't have the need to install an aftermarket unit. It's a lot easier and safer to just have a good mount and use your iphone or android. Also, I used a regular garmin GPS on my previous car, which was fine as well. Good luck.
