Do you have remote starter in your ES350?
 

Wondering do all remote starters (oem or aftermarket, 2 way, etc) shut off when the door is open on your es350? Im getting one installed and want to know before choosing.

Why do people even care whether it shuts off or not? Is it really so hard to press the button one more time? Really - I just do not understand.

I found my 2014 had a dealer installed “Python” (evolved to become “Viper”). It does shut the car down when a door is opened. It came with a separate FOB but the car can also be remote started with the button sequence on the Lexus FOB. Either way the car shuts down when a door is opened…I believe that “feature” is hard coded into the ECM to prevent theft of a car warming up (or cooling down). Live with it. Note that the shut-down feature ONLY operates with remote start...if you already have the car running and open the door (say, to pay for parking or use a drive-through) then the car does NOT shut down because the car senses that the FOB is present.

All Toyota RS systems shut the car off when the doors or even the trunk is opened. Before I bought my first Lexus I looked at a Nissan and an Acura. Neither of them shut off like the Lexus... And I had an aftermarket system in the 2013...
