Extended Warranty

Just want to let everyone know that I got an awesome deal on an extended warranty from Jerry Johnson at Midwest Toyota. I purchased a 10 year/100,000 mile, 0 deductible Toyota Platinum warranty for my daughters 2021 Camry. If you are in the market he is worth the call. Below is his information.

He says that he can offer both Toyota and Lexus warranties

Thanks for the info. First, I hope you don't have to use it--which is why most folks don't buy 'em. Second, if you do, I hope you don't have to haggle about what is covered or not (since you obviously didn't pay much for it). Lots of cheap warranties won't cover what you think they do. Enjoy!

I never purchase them when buying the car either. They are way overpriced unless you search for a few dealerships who will deal with you. It is a Toyota Platinum warranty, also called a Vehicle Service Agreement (VSA). It is not a cheap warranty. Similar to the Lexus Certified warranty. It basically extends the factory bumper to bumper out to 10 years, 100,000 miles with very few exceptions. I also hope she does not have to use it but if she does, it is 0 deductible and the coverages are extensive. Also rental car and roadside assistance.

The same warranty from the dealership we bought the car from quoted 2,900 dollars. I paid less than half of that from Jerry.

It is more a piece of mind for me, and convenient for her.

There are no good deals on extended warranties... They always find an out...The dealer or seller always wins... :nono:

I was simply posting information to help those who are interested. If you are not interested move along.

My apologies to all of you posting negative comments. Somewhere along the way I must have implied that I give a crap what you think.

again, I apologize .......

HaHa. You sound somewhat insincere. Apologies, and then....I dont give a crap....
Extended warranty, might give one peace of mind, but value for $$? Hmm

I paid 1,360 for 10 years/100,000 miles bumper to bumper. It is the Toyota Platinum 0 deductible. Also covers roadside assistance and rental cars.

It is for my daughters car who does not live by me. Piece of mind and convenient if needed.

I never buy from the dealer when buying the car, they will always mark it up 100 to 200 %.

Look at the Toyota Platinum coverage in this article. https://www.automoblog.net/research/...nded-warranty/

The whole point of Toyota Camry is that you do not need to buy a warranty, has this changed now and they are POS?

No, that is not the whole point of buying a Camry. Surprise..... another negative comment. Please see post #5

1. She loves the car and always wanted one. It is a 2021 with 14k miles. Only 1 year left on original warranty.
2. She is on a budget and does not live near me to help with repairs. All repairs are 0 deductible.
3. The roadside assistance and rental car with 0 deductible will be convenient and safe for her if needed.
4. I hope she does not have to use it, but $130 dollars a year for a piece of mind is great for me.
5. It is my money, my choice, and I do not care what others think.
6. It is transferrable to a new owner 1-time. Will maybe help with resale.

There are many issues with newer Camry's, even Lexus for that matter. Just look at the Camry forums.

Have have Daughters also. Good you got this.. I 100% understand. I have warranty's on my car. Wife's and Daughters. There are 10k parts on a car. 10 year/100,000 mile, 0 deductible for what you paid is a good deal IMO. I'm sure she will get the $1360 back in Dealer repairs if she holds on the car for a while. Another plus is.... some of them are transferable if she sells the car, owner to owner private party for like only $50.

I also just got a great deal from Jerry. ( I signed up for this forum so I could thank RMAK). Went with 6 year/125K miles. About 2K less than the dealer we purchased the car from.
