Drive Belt Recommendation

I got this note from mechanic "Drive belt replacement is encouraged based on time and mileage to ensure component reliability"

1) Which brand you would recommend? OEM or any other brand?
2) Is it easy DIY?

Bando USA 7PK2090. I've used this belt twice now. First one lasted over 8 years and I just replaced as I was working in that area already. Belt still looked good. Great price as well.
