How to Remove Trunk Chrome Piece

Hey guys! I'm new to this platform but glad I found it. I've had my 2009 ES350 for just over half a year now, I absolutely love it. There's definitely some things I would change if I could but I'm not in that position right now so I plan on doing little things like chrome deletes. I haven't seen anyone remove or even wrap the rear chrome trim on the trunk, I understand why but I was wonder if anyone actually knew how to remove it or if it even is removable. I was also wondering how hard the grill is to remove as I also want to remove the chrome on it. And sorry for going off topic but if any of you guys know a proper website to buy rain guards that will fit this car please let me know. Thanks for reading through, any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I’ve been looking at these for quite a while now but still haven’t pulled the trigger.

Let us know how you end up if you proceed.

I’ve got some rain guards I bought on eBay- they are in-line so it goes IN the window sill, doesn’t cover up chrome trim. The sun visor actually came from that company too. I think they were $100 ish. I had trouble with them at first, cracked putting them in and I got a full refund for it, but it wasn’t showing so I left them in. Adhesive they gave wasn’t strong so reapplied with something better in small amounts haven’t had an issue since, they are the same exact style as the ones in the link in the reply above, just different company

If you're still looking for info, remove the trunk lid liner, remove lock nuts for the license plate panel, that should do it.
