Weird engine noise during start
My 2008 ES350 is making some strange noises during a cold start for a few days.
The noise disappears after a minute once the engine is warm.
Does anybody have a hint as to what could cause it?
See the video I shot of the startup noises.

I would check the bearings - idler, tensioner, alternator, PS, water pump. A quick way to rule them out is to remove the belt and run the engine for a minute. If noise disappears, it's one of the bearings; if noise remains, it's something else.
This is it.
I would remove those plastic covers and with the engine on you would be able to locate the noise.
