Coils Springs ?
On my 07 ES350 its time to replace the front struts again im thinking i was waiting to deside if i was going to keep the car more than another 7 months but i have desided even if i get a new car i am still going to keep my 07 since its been so good to me over the years.
I wish KYB had quick struts for the front of our 5th gen ES but they don't they only offer a complete quick strut for the rear.
My Front struts on the car now i replaced the factory struts due to leaking at 65k i think and then i replaced those with Monroe struts and then by 120k i was replacing the Monroe struts again so i replace them with a quick strut from monroe now i have 222k so 102k since replacing the front struts last and its time again but i don't want to use monroe again since i have the money to pay for quality parts now but don't want to spend the money on new oem would rather go with KYB or gabriel this time i have read good things about both.
I am wondering does the coil spring do anything other than ride height ? it sits at a good heigh in the front and im going to assume replace struts that have 100k on them might bring it up a little bit but dont know if thats true. However with 100k on it is it ok to reuse the current coil springs since i cant get a quick strut from gabriel or kyb ?
If i go with KYB which is what i want to
i will go with the
KYB front Excel GR-2 struts for 67 each
KYB Front strut mounts 41 each
KYB Front Coils sprin insulator front lower 9 dollars each
KYB Front Coils Spring Insulators front upper 15.00 each

Front; 17mm Bolts; Double Offset; Replacing All Bolts Will Increase Camber Adjustment Range To Plus Or Minus 2.5 Degrees; Minus 1-3/4 To Plus 1-3/4 Degree
not sure if i need 1 or 2 of these for each strut ? this is 10 dollars each.
so all those parts for about 302 then around 225 i think is what i paid at the dealership last time for install
but id like to not have to spend on coil springs if i dont need to because someone told me once if those arent broken no need to replace them but not sure if thats correct
