Once it’s cracked and peeling not much you can do. You have to maintain leather before it gets to that point. You can condition it to slow down the cracking leather think of it like putting lotion on really dry skin. My suggestion would be to order one off of eBay, my buttons were peeling bad so I ordered a used steering wheel for $120 off of eBay it was pretty easy to swap.
