Well I wish I would’ve read through this thread before I drove out to the dealership. I bought my car just over a year ago. Even though it’s still under warranty, they’re saying this isn’t covered so it will be about $200 just to look at it. My door os off-center, which doesn’t really seem like a spring issue. I’m irritated though - if I had enough gas I’d drive home to my local car shop.

your profile says you have a 2019 rx? if so this may be applicable. there is a way to open it by going in from the back apparently

I have less than 9,000 miles on my 2019 RX450, and TWICE now my gas door stopped opening! I already had it fixed once. I'm irritated because they'll probably make me pay for the 2nd repair, when I did nothing but open and close it. Well at least i finally know how to open the secondary unlock hatch.
