Default AC slow to cool but will

2007 ES350
temp. is 90+ deg. with 60 to 80% humidity.
when the car is started for the first time during the day the AC is put on max and max low temp. it will take about 8 to 10 miles before the air starts to get cool. and several more miles to get cold. After it starts to cool down the temp at the vent is around 44-46 deg. after shutting down and waiting several hours and the start the car again it will cool down faster. I put the gauges on the system and the Low pressure side was about 45PSI and the High pressure side was around 175PSI. I did wash the radiator as ben I could and it seems to have helped some, looking for some advice.
Question:
does the two fans have more than one speed?

Take your car to an expert and let them have a look.

At 90* outside temp. the low pressure should be between 45-55 psig. High pressure should be between 250-270 psig.
For 95* outside temp low is 50-55 psig and high is 275-300

If both low and high pressure readings are low then you need to add freon.

thanks for the advice, I will put the gauges on it again to verify pressures, if they are still low I will add some Freon to the system and see what happens. If issue still there I guess I will have to bring it in to the experts, gotta keep the wife cool and happy!

I doubt it’s the fix, but try spraying the condenser down with a hose to get out the bugs and debri that can get caught in it

check if both fan is working for condenser if fan is not working or slow ac wouldn't get cold until you pick up speed ( faster you drive move more air to condenser)
ac fan is suppose on all the time when ac is on but radiator fan only work as need it I hope this helps
