Default Upgraded the steering wheel from a 2007 to a 2010 - Looks so much better!

Hello Guys,

I just wanted to show you my new car as well as the upgrade I did to my steering wheel.

I purchased the Car a month ago, 2007 Lexus ES350 UL Package.
Since I bought it I changed the Alternator, the right side axle, two rear struts 2 new rims and two new tires as they were bended.
I didn't really like the way my steering wheel looked so I decided to purchase a used one from a 2010 Es350 and now it looks so much better.

Here is the result.

I wouldn't label that an upgrade. Looks like the same wheel, just different color. Upgrade, to me, enhances performance or some other inherent design deficiency. I like the black buttons, myself.

Why you have to kill my vibe dude?
I swapped the steering wheel from a 2010 to a 2007 because the buttons were peeling off and the 2010 ones look way better (in my opinion), does this sound better for you?

I had both an '07 and '10 and preferred the improved buttons on the '10 wheel. The 2010 had a number of small improvements to the interior and exterior. OP, is it the lighting or are the colors of the wood that much different? A closer match would be nice.

I agree with you I like the buttons on the '10 a lot better, they feel better and look better (imho). It's the lighting they are not very different, also the newer one had the cruise control controller which in the previous one was broken.

i mean if you put it up, you open yourself up to criticisms both good and bad. That being said the buttons are way better, wondering if you could put them on your 2007 wheel so the wood matched.

Also, if it were me, I’d remove all that **** hanging from the rear view mirror, just looks like clutter. Otherwise glad you’re enjoying the car

Some people like clutter. I don't, but damn it's critic-central in here.

Enjoy those buttons, OP!

Sorry, no disrespect. I can see why you changed out. Still like black better. Peace out.

I'd been wanting an ES for years and finally had the chance to upgrade recently and get one. I'm so glad I flew 862 miles away to buy my 11' smoky granite mica/gray with the UL package. There was an 09 a mile from my house with the UL package, but it was a smoker's car. The darker wood looks better, IMO, on the 10-12's. It's not as red. Your steering wheel looks nice. If you can find a salvage yard 10-12 with the darker wood, you could upgrade the trim around the audio system as well.
