Default Just bought a 2010 What do I need to check??

I just bought a used 2010 ES350 with 72000 miles. I had the transmission flushed and oil changed. Need new tires soon -thinking of Pirelli Cinturator P7 All Season tires over Michelin Premier A/S tires. Comments please. What else do I need to check or look out for? Thanks from geoleo

Flush the PS and brake fluid and you're good until 100K when it'll be time to get new plugs and coolant. I would check the brakes to make sure they have enough material; I would change them if they have less than 5mm.

Seems a bit overkill... Is that really necessary for 72K miles?

Definitely for the PS - should have been done by 50-60K. If you switch to full synthetic, you may be able to stretch it a bit more. Brake fluid change varies more because of drivers' braking habits and environment.

Both fluids should be clear in OEM form. The PS replacement is Dexron III, a red ATF that is very expensive in clear form. I use Walmart's SuperTech at $12 a gallon. 2 Qts is enough to flush out the old stuff.

Look up youtube videos by Scotty Kilmer and Chris Fix.

Does the 2010 actually have PS fluid? Isn't it electric steering?

Hmmm. My 2010 has 52000 miles... perhaps I'll take a look at the fluid later... don't have a turkey baster to pull up much though. Yes, I'm familiar with both Scotty's and Chris' videos. I tend to like Chris as he's not so loud! Of course, Scotty is funny though! Good info from both of them.

No electric steering. Just took a peek at my PS fluid... it's silightly brown colored. Might need to purge/refill but will wait awhile.
