it appears the outer grille molding is damaged. Can I only take that part out and replace?

Hello, I am attempting to fix my front grille by myself. As you can tell from the attached pictures, only the outer grille molding is damaged. I looked on this site and most mentioned replacing inner grille. My questions are:
(1) Can the outer grille molding be removed and replaced with new molding without taking out the whole grille assembly?
(2) How is the outer molding attached to the inner grille?
(3) How is the outer grille molding attached to the car and inner grille?

I was hoping it would be as easy as pulling out and snapping it back in. but that would be too good to be true. I looked on YouTube and didn't find the answer.

Please bare with me as a new female Lexus driver trying to learn how to fix things herself on her car. Thank you

thank you LjeksesEs. May I ask how it attaches to the car and to the inner grill? does it snap into place? Are they attached by tabs or bumper clips? thank you
