Default Anyone here over 6 feet tall?

I bought a 2008 es350 last week with 35k miles. It is flawless and I am very pleased with the quality and luxury of the materials.....except for one thing - I am 6'3 and am finding myself feeling overly confined. I drive with the seat slightly reclined to carve out a little more headroom. But I am now looking to swap it for an Avalon for a more comfortable ride. For all you tall es350 owners out there, is there any modifications that can be done to create more space? Has anyone developed lower back pain due to prolonged driving in a reclined seat position? Please share your experiences - perhaps over time I will become used to it but for now I am hunting me an Avalon to trade.

6'3 and 235 and find my 2010 to be the most comfortable long driver that I've owned. 4 hour drives are like sitting on my couch.

6.3 and comfortable. You can lower the seat by pushing the horizontal button down on both sides. Makes you sink in

I am 6'3" as well and had head clearance feel concerns as well. I lowered the seat all the way down and lifted the front a little. I adjusted the lumbar support so that back is in neutral seated position and that works well for me...

I'm 5'11 and just test drove a 2010 ES 350 and I felt like the top of the windshield was low, making me feel confined, though I got used to it after driving a bit. I'm wondering if models without heated/ventilated seats allow the seat to go lower.

6'3" and never had a problem. Plenty of room and maybe 2 - 3" clearance over my head. No issues with the windshield.

I'm sure I would get used to it, I think I'm just used to sitting lower, which gives me more vertical visibility, not that seeing a bit more of the sky is actually necessary.

I’m 6’2” and when I had it I was around 260. The car was very comfortable to me much more comfortable than the 2016 Explorer I had before it. The Explorer had no leg room. I ended up trading the ES for a new RX because I couldn’t get used to getting in and out of the car so low to the ground but it had nothing to do with feeling confined just being to used to driving a SUV.

I'm ~196 CM, 90 KG. The car is very comfortable. I drive with the seat bottom all the way down and pushed as far back as it will go. The seat back (Upper half) just passes the B-pillar - towards the rear. Steering wheel position tilted all the way down and 'telescoped' all the way towards me.

The above settings are my preference, but I can definitely make do in the event more space is needed behind me for a passanger.

I'm surprised you feel the space is confined. Could you double check that all your seat controls are working as they should? Perhaps certain motor functions arent working or there is an abstruction preventing the seat from being in an ideal position.
