Default ceramic coating

any one have experience with this?
i am not concerned with shiny looks but i am very concerned with rust, especially undercarriage
1 coat here costs about 595
will it prolong my exhaust and suspension from rusting to dust (saallttt) by 5 extra years?

If rust is your concern, fluid film will suit your needs better than ceramic coating

Ceramic coating isn't applied to anything but the painted surfaces of the vehicle. It does nothing to protect the undercarriage from rust,

Better than clear wraps is ceramic over-coating. The product also comes in variations which allows the undercarriage to be treated as well as your paint work, glass, and trim. It's a liquid that goes on in stages, in layers.

A ceramic coating and a clear bra/wrap are two different products that serve different purposes. Clear bras protect against rock chips and scratches, ceramic coatings help to keep paint cleaner longer, resist minor marring, etc and protect the paint from fallout, staining, etc. I have been a hobbyist detailer for 25 years and am currently researching ceramic coatings for my own car, I have never once seen or heard of a ceramic coating that is applied to the undercarriage of a car. Ceramic coating replaces waxing. It would be no different than telling somebody to wax the undercarriage of their car.

Road & Track is just wrong on this one.
