and a remanned one is going to be around 170 to 220 for a remanned after returning the core.

If you are really set on wanting to go with OEM but cant spend the 1400 or 1500 list which is probably going to be 1700 after the dealership parts depearment marks the price up
you can always go used you can probably find one with under 100k for around 100-150 dollars
Wow hopefully I never have that issue..

I think going used makes sense when you can do labor by yourself. Otherwise you can spend all that money and have the "new" used PS start leaking in a few months.

that’s maybe because it’s new and tight

we got to all rememeber and be aware of one thing
we are driving 40k cars when they where new or somewhere around 40k
just because the value of them currently is between 5000k and 18000k for a 07-2012 model year
doesn't mean that the reparis are now the cost of a 5000 or 15000 dollar vehcile
the repairs are still the same the parts are still high priced same as they where when the car was new most likely

agreed i understand acatly what you are saying
and it really all comes down to weather or not the owner or purchaser is willing to take that chance and gamble or not.

like for instannce what i like about lexus is in the US you can check the service history atleast you can find out if it had a issue with the part you are getting off of the usedone because salvage yards have to supply the vin number of the vehicle that car came off of. like hopfully this problem here is not the rack however if it is
she could get a used rack with 64k on it from ebay for less than 200dollars if needed
https://www.ebay.com/itm/OEM-LEXUS-E...RZieLi&vxp=mtr

i just had my tranmission replaced my service contract paid for it in my 07 ES350 the first one they sent to the dealership to have put in was bad cost them 1800 in labor and parts and fluids and stuff plus 1400 for the trans
they had to pay for the 1800 in parts labor and fluid again to have a senond trans put however the vendor warranty the trans itself.
its a camble if the service contract company had of just spend 4000k or 4300 upfront to have the dealer put in a remanned transmission it would have saved the service contract company around 1000-1200 after shipping back and fourth of the old trans paying for a inspector to go out 2 times to inspect having to pay a few hundred to have the trans strainer filter replaced and pan seals they could have just spent more upfront and less on the backend of it but they didnt its a gamble.

my 2000 cadillac seville i used to look for low mile used struts when they would need to be repalced because brand new OEM the electronic subspesnion was 12000 to 1700 per corner used was like 300 lucky i could find low mile used ones and never had issues with it. it just comes down to what your willing to try

Eh, really it’s got Camry guts in it. Plus with that and the popularity of the Camry there’s a lot of aftermarket parts out there.

Don't matter if its got camry guts in it thats just the engine and trans
the way i see it there has to be a reason why a ES350 drives and rides better and smoother and more luxorious than a Camry of any model does.

same as look at it like this
a Cadillac Escclade runs and drives smoother then a Chevy Avalanch or Tahoe because more money went into it to make it more luxorious
a
Lexus RX is alot better ride than a Highlander

it comes down to get into a camry and drive one and get into a ES350 and drive one your not going to notice the same ride and drive

and i have heard several people say aftermarket looses the ride quality that you come to expect in the OEM lexus look at it like this
Struts you get OEM lexus Struts
or you can get aftermarket form KYB same maker and all but different qaulity different tuning.

rack replaced aftermarket different handling than OEM.

camry dash board stiff plastic that makes noise
ES350 dashboard not stiff plastic

Oh no- I’m not saying that they’re the same car. Just that a lot of parts are the same as the Camry. Drivetrain stuff. Obviously not the dash, seats, and logos lol.

Folks, lets not stray away from the subject here. The lady needs help with her power steering, not with which car to choose.

As for the TPMS light, check the air pressure in the spare tire. Or, you could have a bad sensor ...
