Warning light reset and AC diagnostics
Hello,
While researching a "check air conditioner" issue, I have found threads discussing the processes below, but cannot determine if they apply to the ES. Is anyone aware if they do? Apparently, changing the battery and/or alternator can require a "reset" to the AC system. My AC doesn't work after the alternator and battery were changed and the shop that did the work is not out of business, so I am attempting to correct on my own.
1. Warning light reset - apparently by jumping 2 of the pins in the in the OBD port, warning lights such as the check air conditioner and brake pad lights (on the LS) can be reset.
2. AC diagnostics - by holding the AUTO and recirc buttons while starting the car, codes can be retrieved.
Thank you in advance.
